The process
At Sweet Dream Sleep, there is a sleep support package to support you and your family. Our bespoke plans are available for little ones between the ages of 6 months and 6 years old. If your baby is younger than that, feel free to get in touch so that we can create a personalised package to suit you. My process aims to encourage longer stretches of sleep, independent sleep and overall improved rest for you all.
Step 1. Complimentary call
You can request this call via our contact page and I will call you within 24 hours. Booking a complimentary introductory call is the very first step to identifying if we are a good fit, as well as ensuring that I can assist you in introducing positive sleep changes. Although I cannot give advice on this call, it will allow me to direct you to the most appropriate sleep support package. You will receive an email link after the free introductory call to purchase your preferred package.
Step 2. Sleep Information
Once you have selected an appropriate sleep package, I will then email you a sleep questionnaire and sleep diary, both of which you will need to complete. Instructions will be provided about how to complete and return these forms. The sleep questionnaire will allow you to tell me all about your little one. This will give me some insight as to what might be causing your child’s sleep challenges. The 3-day sleep diary should also be completed and will provide me with valuable information about your little one’s current sleep situation. These forms should take no longer that ten to twenty minutes to complete. Once I receive these forms, I will be in touch with you via email within 24 hours to arrange our one to one consultation.
Step 3. 45 minute consultation
Depending on your personal preferences, the consultation can be conducted via phone call or video call. During this call, we will analyse the forms in detail. We will discuss your circumstances, identify your parenting style and sleep goals, as well as the preferences and temperament of your child. I will explain the nature of sleep and talk through sleep training solutions that might be best suited to your family. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Step 4. Bespoke sleep plan
I will create a bespoke sleep plan with personalised routines, sleep support methods as well as strategies and tips that you can implement over the coming weeks. You will receive the plan within 48 hours after your consultation.
Step 5. Support
The packages include follow on support to help you implement the changes successfully as well as troubleshoot and tweak any hiccups that may arise during the process. I will be there to answer your questions, encourage and support you emotionally through the changes as well as ensure that we are making good progress.
Step 6. Results
My goal is for you to all get the best sleep possible. As long as your baby is healthy when we start, positive sleep changes are usually noticed within 2 weeks.
-
Do you offer remote consultations?Yes, although I am based in London, I provide support globally. Depending on the preference of the client, my services can be provided via telephone, video consultation or email.
-
How soon can I have my consultation? You will never have to wait more than 10 days for your consultation.
-
How soon after my consultation will I receive a sleep plan? You will receive your bespoke sleep plan within 48 hours after your consultation.
-
Do you support a cry-it-out method? No, I do not advocate the Cry-It-Out Method. I have trained in a range of approaches and will provide you with strategies and techniques to support your child as they work through the sleep plan. With my one to one sleep packages, the bespoke plans are tailored to your family’s needs. However, I cannot promise that there will be no tears at all. Change can be unsettling for everyone, so it is possible that your child may show some resistance. I ensure that my sleep plans provide gentle and responsive techniques, so that you can support your child through the change.
-
Why does my child wake up frequently throughout the night? We all wake momentarily throughout the night when we transition sleep cycles. The same applies for children and babies. As adults, we are able to fall back to sleep with ease. If your little one needs some assistance in order to fall asleep, in the form of rocking or feeding for example, they will be looking for these props to be reinstated on waking between sleep cycles.
-
Can you sleep train babies under 6 months? It is not advised to sleep train babies under the age of 6 months. I can however advise you on supporting heathy sleep practises such as implementing feed and sleep routines, bonding and attachment and considering the bedroom environment.
-
Have I left it too late? No, I work with children up to 6 years old, implementing positive sleep changes to improve sleep.
-
How soon after implementing the sleep plan can I expect to see positive results in my child's sleep?I am committed to providing you with the best sleep support, and ask that you are 100 % dedicated to the process and implement all the recommendations As long as your baby is healthy when we start, positive sleep changes are usually noticed within 2 weeks. Please note that all children and their circumstances are unique, hence I cannot guarantee this time frame.
